The camera UI is clean and not much effort is required to switch between different modes and settings.

 not only has an 8MP rear camera but also a front-facing camera with the same sensor. The camera is definitely better than its competitors in the same price segment, as the images shot are crisp, with the LED flash helping as well. The use of flash, however, gives a warm tint to the overall image.

Battery

Battery is the Coolpad Mega 3's another strong suit. The smartphone features a 3,050mAh battery, which on average use lasted us for almost one full day. Since the device uses a less power-consuming processor and a lower-resolution display, the battery life tends to stretch for some extra hours. Heavy users might need to charge it once a day. There is a Power Saving mode as well, which helps things a little bit more.

One of the downsides here is that the Mega 3 lacks fast charging technology, so you'll have to wait for a few hours to charge the battery fully.

Verdict

The Coolpad Mega 3 will sure be winning hearts of those who want a budget smartphone below Rs 10,000. The handset has a decent camera, good battery life and an average display. The build is not really that appealing but not bad either. Add them all, and we think that the Coolpad Mega 3 is quite a value for money device at a price of Rs 6,999.

However, this doesn't mean that users don't have other options. If not Coolpad Mega 3, the Moto E3 Power or the Xolo Era 2X can be considered pretty great options.
